By sending an e-mail or a real mail, you can help to save the last, major coastal wetlands, the Chiku wetlands, in Taiwan. This wetland is on the brink of being converted into an industry park dominated by petrochemical and steel works. The construction of these highly pollutive industrial complex will not only seriously damage the livelihood of local fishermen and the habitat for thousands of migratory as well as residentiary waterfowl, but also the winter site for three-quarters of the world population of the highly endangered black-faced spoonbills.
