This is an annual international spring school in Taiwan with 16 years of history; with different universities/institutions taking turns to be the host. The School is designed to offer lectures by leading experts at the frontiers of physics to graduate students, postdocs and faculty members in Taiwan, and in neighboring countries such as Japan and Korea. Indeed all participants are welcome. There is no registration fee. We are pleased to announce that each invited speaker will present five 1-hr lectures at the School.

Note: Free accommodation at a limited number of rooms at the NCKU Guest House will be provided for graduate students from local institutions. 

 


        Visas and travel documents

Citizens of the following countries are eligible for visa-exempt entry into Taiwan for up to fourteen (14) days:

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands , New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, U.K. and U.S.A.

Currencies and Credit Cards

The unit of currency in Taiwan is the New Taiwan ( NT ) Dollar. The current exchange rate is approximately 35 NT/1US$.
Major foreign currencies, traveler checks, and major credit cards are accepted at most hotels, banks, and at international airports.
