Zero-Energy Landau Level in Dirac Semi-metal Phases
Zero-energy Landau Level is the strong evidence of Dirac point especially in 2-D materials for experimentation. But we found that not every Dirac semi-metal system emerge the zero-energy Landau Level. In this research, we introduce the symmetry analysis of 2D Bernevig-Hughes-Zhang (BHZ) model in different Dirac semi-metal phases. Finally, we will show that the zero-energy Landau Level is protected by chiral symmetry.
